Dear All,

 

I was tasked to organize a tour of few major cities of Italy, including the birthplace of Don Bosco. This will coincide with the meeting of the world assembly of Past pupils of Don Bosco scheduled on Sept. 29 to Oct. 4, 2010.

 

I have came up with a tentative costing and itinerary that incorporates both the world assembly meeting and the tour (please see items below). May I request that you email blast this to the presidents of all local chapters. And those who are interested, to please fill out the attached form and send to me on or before June 15, 2010. The cost, itinerary, and requirements are as follows:

 

I.    TENTATIVE COST:  Total – P166,454

 

a.  Air Fare – US$1,288, @P46 exchange rate – P59,248 (this is the high end
     rate)
b.  Travel Tax – P1,620
c.   Italian Visa – P4,086
d.  World Assembly registration (that includes accommodation during the entire
     assembly) – E450, @P62 exchange rate – P27,900
e.  Tour expense (inclusive of meals, transportation, accommodation, etc.) –
     US$1,600, or P73,600

 

II.   PROPOSED ITINERARY

 

Sept 28         –   Depart Manila

Sept. 29        –   Arrive Rome
     7:30pm    –   Dinner/Start of Meeting

Sept 30         –   Whole day meeting (for non-official participants, a
                         3-day tour of Rome including Vatican can be arranged)

Oct 1            –   Whole day meeting

Oct 2            –   Whole day meeting
     6:00 pm  –   Orientation with the tour organizer

Oct 3            
     2pm        –   Closing of the meeting

                   -    Start of tour: leave Rome: Rome-Pisa-Florence

Oct 4            -   Florence

Oct 5            -   Florence-Genoa-Turin

Oct 6            -   Turin

Oct 7            -   Turin-Milan-Venice

Oct 8            -   Venice

Oct 9            -   Venice-Rome

Oct 10          -   Depart Rome

Oct 11          -   Arrive Manila

 

III.   VISA REQUIREMENTS

 

1.   COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM FOR SCHENGEN VISA – to be accomplished later
2.   PASSPORT ORIGINAL (6 MONTHS VALID)
3.   ONE PC 2X2 RECENT COLORED PHOTO
4.   PHOTOCOPY OF PREVIOUS VISA AND IMMIGRATION STAMP
5.   ORIGINAL BANK CERTIFICATE
6.   BANK PASSBOOK PHOTOCOPY
7.   CREDIT CARD STATEMENT PHOTOCOPY
8.   ITR PHOTOCOPY
9.   TRAVEL ITINERARY – to be supplied later
10. TRAVEL HEALTH INSURANCE – to be arranged, but the cost will be shouldered by      
      the participant
11. HOTEL BOOKING - to be supplied later
12. BUSINESS REGISTRATION- IF SELF EMPLOYED
13. CERTIFICATE OF EMPLOYMENT
14. LEAVE OF ABSENCE FORM
